If you would like to volunteer to work at the Blood Drive, please send an email to phacommservice@ku.edu and include your name and the hours you can work. *In the subject line, please write BLOOD DRIVE VOLUNTEER.*
And of course, if you just show up to volunteer we'll put you to work - no prior committment necessary. We hope to see you there!!
Volunteer Awards: Spring 2010 Drive
Congratulations to the following winners of the organization competition during the Spring 2010 drive. Organizations were awarded points for number of donated units. In the event of a tie, the number of volunteers were considered.
Fraternity Winner: Phi Kappa Psi (22 donors)
Sorority Winner: Kappa Delta (32 donors)
Residence Hall Winner: Oliver Hall 8th Floor (13 donors out of Oliver's 59 total)
Scholarship Hall Winner: Douthart Hall (12 donors - beating out Watkins by 1 volunteer, who broke the tie)
Each organization received 20 large pizzas, compliments of Community Blood Center, American Red Cross, and Cici's Pizza. In addition, the names of the winning fraternity and sorority are engraved on traveling loving cup trophies. The trophies will be displayed at each house until results are tabulated for KU's fall semester blood drive. Great job, everyone!
